Game 13

Kristen Schwenk & Rachel Doud

W Olivet 2-0

After practice white shoe #1 and I found ourselves in the jam packed stadium watching the guys game against Calvin. We cheered along with the crowd and were having a good ole time until I started to get cold. Much to his dismay, I asked if we could head back to our dorm and he very unwillingly, I might add, walked me home. He helped me get started on my mountain of homework but as soon as he heard that we had won in double OT, studying pretty much went out the window. The shoe was really disappointed that he missed the rest of the game so to cheer him up we went to the Kletz to get some ice cream. When we got there we met up with Grace and filled up on all sorts of goodies. I think it cheered him up a little bit the rest of the night he still seemed a little bitter about the whole situation, but another bag of popcorn later, it was all behind us. It was getting late and both of us were pretty tired, so we decided to call it a night.

After getting together last Saturday when the shoe saw my moves, things have gotten heavy fast. We spent the week doing homework, shopping, power pushing, and winning games against Trine and St. Marys. Scared of getting too serious too fast, the shoe and I went our separate ways that is until I found out that he was hanging out with another girl on the team – just my luck.

Game 11

Lana Gentry & Kelsey Bos

L Wheaton 2-0

Tuesday night White Shoe #1 was quite the entertainer. My housemates had accumulated too many apples to eat, so White Shoe #1 decided to break out his baking skills one more time. There was pounds of applesauce to be made, along with his own version of apple crisp, and an attempt at apple turnovers…oh what a night! Once our tummies were well past filled, we decided to call it a night and get some rest. White Shoe #1 will sure be missed, especially since the last turnover was eaten only days later. Until next time

After the cold and rainy game, the shoe and I decided that it would be fun to have a cozy sleepover with some friends. So we headed over to the Crossbar with Nikki and BA where we all snuggled up and listened to momma Schwenk read us a scary story about the gang fights between the Mexican Mafia and the Latin Kings. In the middle of the night the white shoe told me he was glad that he slept by me after Mars started yelling at BA in her sleep for the second time that night!

Game 10

Al Prins & Grace Gonzalez

Alma T 0-0

It was a Friday night when I took the shoe home with me to Hudsonville, a small town where the word 'bagel' is spelled with a "G". Being me, the reason we went home was for food. To my surprise - the white shoe was keeping up with my slightly unusual eating habits. By the end of the night, I believe Max & Erma's closed early due to a shortage in chicken. After dinner, me and the shoe went shopping because I wanted his outside opinion on what shoes I should get for this winter. Finally, me and the shoe made it to Dykstra where we cuddled up and fell asleep.

After a super cold and rainy practice, White Shoe #1 had the brilliant idea to take me out on a romantic date. So off to the Olive Garden we went. However, when we get there, there was a huge line, but have no fear - Shoe #1 (being the gentleman he is) slipped a 20$ to the hostess and in no time we were seated. We proceeded to eat baskets of bread and scarfed down a hearty meal. It was a perfect way to end the night.......with the guy of my dreams.
